What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade — What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
